I enjoy playing golf, especially in the fall. I also recently had a tennis lesson after a many year hiatus I took to improve my golf game!
The one thing both sports have in common is follow through toward the target. In golf, this is essential for all shots, regardless of whether you are in a sand trap, hitting a drive or chipping onto the green.
And in tennis, in order to hit a good shot, you need follow through.
Follow through toward the target is also a major factor for success in every other activity we do in the game of life. It moves us closer to our goals.
Returning calls or emails, checking in to see how projects are going, thank you notes and doing what we say are all follow through strategies.
If we don’t follow through, it is difficult to move forward. We stay stuck, or it takes longer to advance.
In life, when we follow through toward the target with a world class finish as I was taught in golf or the statue of liberty pose for you tennis buffs, we move toward our desired goals.
