In the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun, Frances moves to Tuscany after a divorce and renovates a house. She faces a range of emotions from sadness and frustration to joy and elation. She is trying to create a new life. At one point she tells her friend that she wants a wedding and a family in the home (presumably her own).

At the end of the movie, both do occur. They just are not hers. They are for her friends. Nonetheless, Frances is ecstatic.

Often we have a picture of what we want and it does not show up in the package we expect. We can sometimes miss what is in front of us by trying to have it look a certain way.

By opening up to other possibilities for our vision, it might turn out better than we could have imagined.
