Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 bring to mind the word crisis. The Chinese character for crisis is danger and opportunity. This symbol seems appropriate since both dimensions are represented.

When confronted with crisis, are you cool, collected and confident or do you run around like Chicken Little, instilling panic and fear? What’s the impact you have on those around you?

As a leader, people will look to you for guidance. They want honesty, directness, compassion and direction. Courage will be required. Trust must be established.

By being authentic, positive and acting from your desire rather than your fear and negativity, you can find opportunity in crisis.
