Decision 2020! We hear it on the news regularly.
Decisions! Decisions!
Most of us make hundreds of decisions daily.
What time to get up, what to wear,
what the best way to get to work or ______ is.
And then there are the bigger decisions-
Where to live, what career to pursue, where to go to college,
who to partner with, what city to retire to, and what to name your baby.
Some seem so big, and others are so routine
that we don’t give them a second thought.
We often get paralyzed because we don’t want to make a mistake.
The root of the word decide is cide.
What other words do you know with that root?
Pesticide, homicide, geocide, insecticide, suicide.
You got it- they can kill!!!
If we start looking at decisions as choices, we lighten up.
We don’t have to prove we are right or wrong.
We don’t have to back up a choice with facts.
We get freedom because we can always make a new choice.
In addition to gaining choice, I encourage you to start
thinking about decisions differently.
In next week’s tip, I will share a unique approach to doing so!
Stay tuned!!!
