Tomorrow we will know who will lead our country for the next four years. The campaign season will finally be over.
We have heard a lot about change, brand and image during the last 18 months. All the candidates created a brand based on their actions, words, non-verbal communication and history.
Each of us has a brand. We develop our image based on what we do and do not do, what we say and how we say it, how we communicate non-verbally and with whom we associate.
What is your brand and what is the image you project? How do others perceive you? What would you like to reinforce or change?
We relate to people based on their brand. The good news is that we can be in charge of our own campaign. A consistent message is important.
What are five ways that you want to be known by others? Think about what you will do or how you will be to generate this perception.
- How will you act in meetings?
- How will you present yourself in conversations and emails?
- What projects are you focusing on?
Then take at least one step toward creating this brand called you.
The political campaign season is over for now. We, on the other hand, have a branding campaign that occurs daily. What do your commercials say about you?
