I had a wonderful weekendat French Quarter Fest in New Orleans. The bands, food, and weather were fantastic! The event was originally created especiallyfor locals to celebrate themusic, people, and culture of the city.

The unique spirit and joie de vietruly came to life. You can feel the pride and soul of the city everywhere.

Celebrating is an essential part of life.Yet how often are we so busythat we don’t take timefor this perceived “indulgence.”

We and our teams keep moving to the next thing. We do not stop to acknowledgehard work or achievements.

Creating a culture of pride orconfidence in ourselves is rooted in acknowledgment.Acknowledging our strengths, unique gifts and accomplishmentsboth individually and collectively, creates this foundation.

Ask yourself:

1. When was the last time I stopped to    celebrate?2. What things do I savor?3. What’s the impact to myself and others    when we take time to acknowledge and    celebrate?
