Spring begins on Friday. Temperatures will rise and flowers will bloom. Crocus, forsythia and daffodils lead the way and will be followed by lilacs, lilies and geraniums. Each of these flowers has its own season and blooms when the conditions and timing are right.
As humans, we are similar. Some of us bloom earlier than others while some of us discover our passion or vocation later in life. Colonel Sanders founded KFC in his 60’s. Grandma Moses started painting in her 80’s.
Regardless of when we bloom, we need roots and nurturing. Roots are the values and must haves that ground us. Believing in ourselves and nurturing our spirit and ideas help us to bloom.
We sometimes are afraid to try new things or we get impatient with ourselves for not having started _(fill in)_____ sooner. We have the capacity to develop regardless of our age.
This spring, think of one new thing you want to try. Plant the seed, nurture it and give it time to grow. Watch what happens.
