The Make a Wish Foundation in San Francisco is going to make the wish of a 5 -year- old boy with leukemia come true this week.
He wants to be Batman and the organization, along with hundreds of volunteers, are going to make that happen for an entire day.
In the morning, newscasters and the police chief will announce that they need Batkid’s help in solving a crime. Throughout the day people will be in scenarios where he can rescue them. At the end of the day he will go to City Hall to receive a key to the city from the mayor and police chief for his heroism.
Needless to say, the boy will be surprised when he sees his dream come to life and the overwhelming outpouring of love and support.
We all have dreams and some need more orchestrating than others. As a result, we sometimes squelch them. We stay small because we can’t imagine having the support needed to dream big.
- What dreams do you have?
- What support do you need to bring them to fruition?
- Who do you need to enroll for assistance?
This wish inspires us to remember that possibilities are endless, even being a super hero.
Dream big and get your cape!!
And on this Veteran’s Day, I would like to send a thank you to special heroes-our veterans and the men and women and their families serving our country today.
